Job Title: Mechanic Level 2 - Intermediate Mechanic

Department: Service/Repair

Reports To: Service Manager

Summary:  This position requires a mechanic that is able to complete mid-level repairs such as basic tune-ups, chain size/install, component installation, spoke install and assembly of high end bicycles as well as entry level repairs such as and assembly of bicycles, final check over on bicycles, fix tune-up on bicycles, and accessory installation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform level 1 - 2 repairs
  • Ensure that proper safety practices are being followed
  • Ensure customer service standards are being met
  • Make sure that there is good communication between sales and service departments.
  • Help maintain a positive work environment
  • Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and organization of the repair shop
  • Check work email and respond at the beginning and end of every shift

Education/Experience: Minimum of 1 - 2 years of professional bicycle mechanic experience. Completion of BikeRoom, WinterBourne, Barnett’s or UBI courses.
