New Bike Service Warranty
New bikes sold at our location that bare the Cap's Bicycle Shop sticker or the past Shield sticker come with the best service package to date. You bought a bike from us so we want to take care of you and your bike. The service warranty includes: free Brake and Gear Adjustments, half price Tune Ups, and half price labour on almost every other job on our labour list for as long as you own your bike.
Older bikes which have different stickers, or bikes purchased at our Big One sales have a different service package; when you bring your bike in, we can tell you what that package is.
30 Day Price Guarantee
We price our products fairly and accordingly to the manufacturer's suggested retail price. However, if a customer can provide proof of a bike or product we sell for a better price at another retailer we will strive to match that price.
This does not include online retailers, private sales or "special deals".
Thinking of shopping for a bike or accessories at Mountain Equipment Co-op? We will match their prices and encourage customers to check out some of the brands we carry which are offered at similar if not better prices. We have a larger selection of products and can offer a higher quality of customer service than MEC or any other big box retailer.
Kids Pedal Bike Trade-In
We have the biggest selection of kids bikes around and want your kids to keep riding until they grow are ready for a full sized bike! Because kids grow out of their bikes every few years, we have developed a kids bikes trade in program. When your child grows out of their bike which was bought new from Cap's Bicycle Shop, you can trade that bike in and have up to 50% its original value put towards their next bike. Trade in value is dependent of condition of the trade-in bike For example:
You buy a 12" bike for $100, when that bike is outgrown, you can bring it back and put up to $50 towards the next bike. Awesome!
Parts and Accessories Returns
We stand behind our parts and accessories* and want you to trust them and enjoy them as much as we do! For this reason, we have a 30 day return policy: if you don't like something, bring it back for your money back or allow us to help find you something you'll really like. All we ask is that you keep the product in sellable condition and hold onto the original packaging.
Many products come with a manufacturing warranty. If you have an issue that is beyond our 30 day return limit, come in and we will try out best to help sort out the issue.
*Due to the nature of some products, we can not offer a return policy. These products include: inner tubes, brake pads, tools, lubricants, books, and cycling shorts.
Starting the day that you leave the store with your new bike, you have seven days to return it. If you weren't happy with it, or have realized a new bike just isn't going to work out, come see us within seven days for your money back or for help to re-evaluate what the right bike might be for you. We will charge a 10% restocking fee on a bike return.
If you're ready to shop for a new bike but aren't sure if you can pay for it right away, we offer a simple layaway program. Find the bike that you love and put down a 50% deposit so it's reserved for you. Leave the bike with us for up to 30 days until you can pay it off. Not applicable on sale bikes.
