
2019 PORT MOODY E-BIKE TOURISM CHALLENGE
REGISTRATIONS BEGINS THIS SPRING
We know that Port Moody boasts some epic hill climbs and we want to encourage you to experience them and all of the great parts of our city. We also want to make this challenge more fun and realistic for ALL cyclists so we're inviting you out for FREE electric bike test rides to complete the challenge!
Thinking of buying an electric bike? Want to know more about electric bikes? We're here to answer questions, dispel myths and outfit you with an experience that will have you smiling like you did as a child riding your bike.
Book your e-bikes early! We are offering additional demo bikes for this event.
- The challenge is a cycling scavenger hunt around the hills of Port Moody and Coquitlam.
Weekly clues and locations will be released on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages. To complete the challenge you will need to take a "selfie" of yourself at each location and tag Cap's Bike Shop on social media using hashtag #capselectricbiketour

Fun facts about Port Moody:
- The completion of the all-Canadian line in 1885 led to the historic first passenger train hauled by Engine 371 from Montreal to Port Moody on July 4, 1886 which we celebrate as Golden Spike Days.
- On October 3, 1962, tropical storm and typhoon Freda hit Port Moody
- Restored "Car 49", a four bedroom, 32 seat sleeping car built in 1920 was delivered to the Port Moody Station museum in 1992.
